Buscábamos una pieza de cerámica especial para la distinguida mesa para grupos del interior de la cocina de nuestro recién inaugurado Tahini en Marbella. Así es como llegamos a Maria Antonia, una ceramista de 72 años residente en Son Servera.
We wanted a special piece of pottery to display on the antique group table inside the kitchen of our newly opened Tahini restuarant in Marbella. This is how we found Maria Antonia, a 72-year resident potter in Son Servera.
Comenzó su relato explicando que Mallorca era un territorio muy, muy pobre, y que las aceras alrededor de la Iglesia de Son Servera eran tremendamente estrechas… “La iglesia de Son Servera está sin acabar, vivo muy cerca, cuando salgo a mi corral: ¡Paaaaaf, la tengo allí delante! Se acabó el dinero, la construía la gente del pueblo.
She began her story explaining that Mallorca was a very poor country, and the pavements around the church of Son Servera were really narrow… “The Church of Son Servera is unfinished, I live very close by, when I leave my home: Puff!
